STEM Mentoring paired people with a STEM background with professionals from the region — for six months, with a clear structure and concrete goals.
What the pairings did
- Made sense of the qualification someone arrived with
- Support through the recognition procedure
- Application documents that work in a German context
- Contacts that would not have existed otherwise
Outcome
Most pairings ended in a placement, a training course or an employment contract. Several of those mentees are mentors themselves today.
